The start of the year has seen multiple opportunities to get the short sleeves on and head to the beach. Tanit Beach Ibiza on Playa d’en Bossa declared its love for winter at the start of the off-season, and with good reason. While it is one of the best summer destinations, it really comes into its own in winter. With a selection of cool gatherings, weekly DJs offerings, a mouth-watering menu and the ability to offer a memorable afternoon on the sand no matter what the weather, it’s a favourite with many islanders.
Living on the island, there’s no better feeling than heading to the beach, sun high in the sky knowing your friends around Europe are likely to be layered up, bracing themselves against the cold. There are plenty of those glorious winter days to enjoy, with blue skies, when you can really embrace the beach. Drop into Tanit Beach Ibiza and enjoy a long lunch in between sunbathing sessions done. Alternatively, when the weather does take a turn and we have to get the jumpers out, we love nothing better than heading to Tanit, where the glass shutters offer ample protection against the elements and where the choppy waves make for a more dramatic setting.
Musically, Tanit Beach is always on point, setting the perfect tone for the afternoon. At the weekend, there are regular island DJs delivering the coolest musical journey, not to mention some carefully chosen party collaborations to keep winter interesting. The €23-euro menu has been a big success so far, offering a selection of favourites from the a la carte menu. Starters include salmon tiradito, mussel ceviche, zucchini noodles and quinoa salad with salmon. For the main course, you have a choice of chicken breast with sweet potato mash, cod rice, Iberian ham with apple foam, and fried bass fillets. Round your dining adventure off with something sweet in the shape of cheese mousse, passion fruit soup or chocolate ice cream version.
