Imagine yourself immersed in a boho dining experience, enjoying fine food at a communal table set in the midst of a secret outdoor location. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable culinary experience and a long list of new friends… The wonder that is the The Last Supper Club has been created by combining the culinary talents of private chef Mark Watkins, fellow chef James Knight and event manager Lee White. Pop-up dining and supper clubs are a growing trend and this talented team has taken the concept to a whole new level.
Delivering high-end dining in a wild, natural setting is undoubtedly challenging, yet they manage not only to serve delicious food but also consider every detail from the acoustic musical accompaniment during your welcome cocktail to the exquisite table settings and the theatrical delivery of your dessert (roll up your sleeves and enjoy!).
Originally launched in August 2015, The Last Supper Club recently had its first sell-out event of 2018 featuring a ‘Banquet of Thai Delights’. The menu was inspired by Chef James Knight’s late father who spent over 25 years in Thailand. A mix of fragrant salads, creamy curries, delicious fish and spiced vegetables, not to mention the dessert parade served from above with a lavish dusting of icing sugar. Needless to say it did not disappoint. The communal seating adds to the enjoyment as you meet new people and share stories of your life and experiences on this beautiful island.
Further events are diarised on the 7th of June and the 11th of July with more dates planned over the summer. The theme and location are different for every event, so the experience remains fresh and can be enjoyed time and time again. Details of the menu and location are disclosed to attendees shortly prior to the each event. Not only a great culinary experience, The Last Supper Club is also an excellent way to meet new people and network, so make sure you get your reservations in early to avoid disappointment.
