From the old fortress of Prato, Italy, to the cobbled streets of Dalt Vila, Ibiza, sitting at the feet of the drawbridge in the old market square is the charming Il Dek. A Mediterranean restaurant with a menu offering everything from traditional Italian to Japanese treats, take in the sights of the atmospheric streets while sampling exquisite seafood, perfectly al dente handmade pasta or chunks of delicate sushi for balmier nights.
With a philosophy rooted in authentic service – attentive but never intrusive – arrive earlier in the day to catch sight of pasta being rolled out and cakes getting whipped up for the evening. The modern yet eclectic décor features wine boxes stapled to the walls and vintage, bistro-style tables and chairs; the relaxed setting making Il Dek an ideal location for any style of occasion. Groups big or small, the menu is a reflection of the inclusive feel to offer something for everyone.
Wafer-thin pizzas, the most delectable carbonara pasta and fresh catch-of-the-day fish and chips tend to a more laid-back calling, while tea-marinated entrecote Wagyu, fresh lobster tagliolini and hand-cut veal tartar are our top choices for a taste of Il Dek’s more luxurious cuisine offering. Cocktails crafted with flair, and an exceptional wine list extend their hand to wash this feast down.
Look out for one-off show-cooking events focussing on paella or freshly made pasta, as well as special tasting menus devised by in-house chef Andrea Alimenti who, alongside restaurateur Francesco Secci’s passion, seeks to provide a marked edge in staying current. Of course, if dining out isn’t on the agenda, you can enjoy everything on the menu to-go; perfect for savouring an Italian or sushi feast from the comfort of your villa or boat. Buon appetito!
