You can appreciate the beauty of the White Isle from many vantage points – from the stunning golden sands looking out to sea, from the top of a mountain after a strenuous climb or from the comfort of your very own luxury villa. One of our favourite place to enjoy the island is from a beautiful rooftop bar – chilled cocktail in hand, ambient atmosphere and panoramic views of the Balearic beauty below. With so many amazing elevated vantage points, here is part one of the best Ibiza rooftops…
Sol House Ibiza Mixed By Ibiza Rocks
Having announced a partnership with Ibiza Rocks on opening last summer, the stunning hotel is known for offering a lively elevated vibe, with the best of both worlds. On the coast of San Antonio, the rooftop infinity pool and bar is privy to exclusive DJ sets by day and night, so if you like your rooftops with a side of Ibiza flair, this is the one for you.
Aguas De Ibiza
Aguas De Ibiza is well known for being one of the most eco-friendly, luxurious hotels on the island – and what’s a bit of modern luxury without a rooftop offering? Vi Cool, the beautiful cocktail bar and restaurant perched atop the Santa Eulalia hotel, boasts views of the ocean and a super chilled vibe to boot. On an island full of luxury and hedonism, this is about as close to escapism as you can get. Utter paradise.
Hard Rock Hotel
If you’re looking to stay somewhere with a modern vibe, look no further than the Hard Rock Hotel. Whether you’re checking in or just looking for somewhere to enjoy a few drinks, make sure you don’t miss The Ninth, the enormous rooftop sky lounge that’s designed to make you feel like you’re in a beautiful boat – complete with spectacular views over the coast. Enjoy the array of live music and entertainment while you sip a chilled cocktail and take in the world famous Ibiza sunset.
Ushuaïa Tower Hotel
Recently voted one of the 10 most Instagrammable hotels in the world, Ushuaïa Tower is truly a class act, and the Up Ibiza Sky Society lounge on the rooftop provides a sanctuary from which to view the crazy party strip of Playa D’en Bossa below. As with any of Ushuaïa’s offerings, expect an uber glamorous party crowd, zany signature décor and impeccably executed cocktails. As you kick back with one of the aforementioned cocktails, enjoy one of the most all-encompassing views of the island – from the partygoers to the traditional Old Town, right through to the glittering ocean and the mountains. One not to be missed.
Wherever you are in the world, the ME Hotel chain is synonymous with status and global luxury. The ME Ibiza is no exception and the crowning glory of this exquisite hotel is its beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. Playing host to both upbeat parties and more relaxed nights of simple drinks and a unique Chef’s Dining Experience dining, guests can take their pick during their stay (and even if you’re not staying there, we recommend you check it out) to suit their mood. Take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool or simply enjoy the stunning panoramic views – it’s your call.
Not everyone visiting the White Isle is interested in being in the thick of it, and if you’re looking for something a little more authentically Ibicencan (but without scrimping on any of the luxury), look no further than the beautiful Gatzara Suites. The boutique suites are beautiful and we highly recommend a stay in them, but – once again – the proudest achievement of the chic hotel has to be the stunning rooftop bar and pool. Looking out over the pretty scenic village as you swim, partake in al fresco yoga or a recuperative massage, or even just enjoy a couple of drinks – it’s especially lovely by night.
