If there’s one thing the White Isle does well, it’s fabulous, stylish rooftops. Not only are they perfect for panoramic views of Ibiza in all its beauty, they’re usually highly exclusive and home to some of the best bars, restaurants, swimming pools and spas on the island. Not satisfied with having named five of our favourites, we’ve rounded up some more of our picks.
The Dorado Suites are part of the Santos group, and first and foremost that means two things – an enviable location right on the Playa d’En Bossa coastline with stunning sea views, and sophisticated, tropical décor in hues of white, turquoise and gold that harps to the style of Santorini. The stylish but chilled Dorado Suites have a gorgeous roof terrace to relax on and soak up some rays – we challenge you to find a better view of Bossa.
What’s better than a rooftop bar? A rooftop prosecco bar, of course. The ODP Sky Bar at Es Vivé is a luxurious offering from the beautiful hotel, with ginormous white sunbeds, ambient live DJ sets and prosecco on tap. Enjoy the stunning and historic views of Ibiza Town as you relax and indulge – Es Vivé enjoys one of the prime locations on the whole island. The prosecco bar is the first of its kind on the White Isle, making it an absolute must for holidaymakers and mainstays alike.
Come for the views but stay for the food – Patchwork at Sa Punta is a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant, with colourful décor and gorgeous Lebanese fare. Patchwork’s expertise lies in cocktails, design, food and music – but the sunsets from the beautiful vantage point never fail to steal the show. The night begins from 19.00, but Patchwork stays open until late, so there’s ample opportunity to dine, drink and dance under the stars while you enjoy the the breathtaking views over Dalt Vila.
If you’re local to San Antonio, you can’t miss out on Rio Ibiza, a destination that specialises in good cocktails and great food. Open from 9.00 until late, Rio Ibiza is there to fulfil all and any of your holiday needs and whims – from breakfast smoothies and sun-worshipping in the day, to cocktails and dinner by night. Head up to the rooftop, though, for something extra special – the Sansu Sushi restaurant. The food is incredible, not to mention the views over the San Antonio harbour – and if you’re looking for the perfect place for a special occasion, it’s also open for private hire. The fabulous spot is also one of the best places to catch the San Antonio fireworks in late August.
Gran Montesol Ibiza
The Gran Montesol Ibiza holds serious status, and as one of the most old-school glamorous institutions on the island, has been a much loved haunt of celebrities since the 1930s. Head right to the top to enjoy the unmatched views over Ibiza Town – from business brunches to pre-dinner drinks, the team at the Gran Montesol Ibiza will take care of it. Steeped in history and oozing glamour, make sure you don’t miss out on this spectacular rooftop.
